Cybersecurity Engineer

You will design, implement, and maintain enterprise Information Security and Network Security architectures, controls, and solutions. You own the security posture across cloud and hybrid environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents using SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and XDR platforms.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate penetration testing, and execute risk assessments and remediation.
• Perform threat hunting, malware analysis, and digital forensics for security incidents.
• Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, WAF, NAC, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Automate security monitoring, compliance reporting, and incident response using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting for automation.
• Experience configuring Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) integration.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks: NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, CIS Controls, GDPR.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hybrid cloud security architectures.
• Background in digital forensics and root cause analysis.
