Description

You will administer and maintain database systems.

Responsibilities

• Test programs and databases, correcting errors and making necessary modifications.
• Modify existing databases and database management systems, or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure.
• Work in a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify database identifiers to the management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
• Train users and answer questions.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience as a database administrator.
• Experience with Db2, Sybase, and Oracle.
• Proficiency with XML.
• Experience with IBM InfoSphere Data Stage and Data Stage Director.
• Ability to work effectively in teams.
