Description

You will lead data analysis and visualization projects focused on communicable disease reporting, primarily regarding COVID-19.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate, clean, and transform public health and healthcare data using SQL, Tableau, R, Python, and GCP.
  • Build dashboards and visualizations for public reporting, performance evaluation, and scientific publication.
  • Maintain and enhance data products according to established daily, weekly, or annual cadences.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to define and refine technical requirements.
  • Document data cleaning steps, sources, filters, assumptions, and visualization processes.
  • Identify and communicate data quality issues and address errors arising from data processing.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience with Tableau Desktop.
  • Experience with R or Python.
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups on projects with defined timelines.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with health or public health data.
  • Experience with ArcGIS and geospatial data.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and WordPress.
