Description

Lead the analysis of the Indiana BRFSS dataset to generate public health insights. Own the validation, cleansing, and statistical analysis of data to ensure accuracy before reporting. Build Tableau dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings clearly. Collaborate with partners to develop new surveillance reporting methods. Present key results to stakeholders and guide intern projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation, cleansing, and standardization of BRFSS data.
• Conduct statistical analysis to identify public health trends and insights.
• Develop Tableau dashboards and visualizations for stakeholder reporting.
• Ensure data quality through rigorous validation and confidentiality checks.
• Review intern projects and collaborate on surveillance reporting methods.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience using SAS or R for data analysis.
• 2+ years of broad knowledge in data analytics or statistics.
• 1+ years of experience with data manipulation, cleansing, and transformation.
• Experience conducting data quality checks and validating datasets.
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA and state statutes regarding data confidentiality.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience performing data analytics specifically with public health data.
• Proficiency with Tableau for data visualization.
