Description

Analyze Indiana BRFSS public health data to generate actionable insights through rigorous validation, statistical analysis, and visualization.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Validate, cleanse, and standardize BRFSS datasets to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
• Conduct statistical analysis to identify public health trends and generate reports.
• Build Tableau dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with partners to develop new surveillance reporting methods.
• Review intern projects and guide data quality checks.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience using SAS or R for data analysis.
• 2+ years of broad knowledge in data analytics or statistics.
• 1+ years of experience with data manipulation, cleansing, and transformation.
• Experience conducting data quality checks and validating datasets.
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA and state statutes regarding data confidentiality.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience performing data analytics specifically with public health data.
• Proficiency with Tableau for data visualization.
