Description

You will analyze Indiana BRFSS datasets to generate public health insights. You lead validation, cleaning, and analysis efforts with minimal guidance. You conduct general and complex data analyses to support public health objectives. You develop data visualizations and Tableau dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders. You perform rigorous data quality checks to ensure dataset validity. You collaborate with partners to develop new methods for reporting surveillance data. You adhere to HIPAA and state statutes regarding data confidentiality and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation, cleaning, and analysis of BRFSS datasets.
• Conduct general and complex data analyses for public health objectives.
• Develop data visualizations and Tableau dashboards for stakeholders.
• Perform rigorous data quality checks to ensure dataset validity.
• Collaborate with partners to develop new surveillance reporting methods.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience using SAS or R.
• 2+ years of broad knowledge in data analysis, analytics, or statistics.
• Experience with data manipulation, including cleansing, standardizing, and transforming data.
• Ability to build reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience performing data analytics specifically with public health data.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
