Description

You will manage data quality for the Iowa Behavioral Health Reporting System (IBHRS) database and drive analytics for substance use, problem gambling, and mental health datasets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze reporting trends and collect metrics to identify outliers in behavioral health data.
• Develop and maintain SSRS reports and executive dashboards using Power BI or Tableau for internal and external stakeholders.
• Work directly with providers to offer technical assistance, guidance, and data cleaning to ensure submitted information integrity.
• Collaborate with business users and data stewards to evaluate data quality and trace lineage from source systems.
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical staff to explain reported data and guide report access.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Microsoft Report Builder.
• 3+ years of experience with data analytics software such as Power BI or Tableau.
• 3+ years of experience writing relational database queries, including subqueries, versioning, and temp tables.
• Proven ability to create ad hoc queries, write reports, and build dashboards.
• Experience assessing source data quality and identifying reporting trends.
• Strong communication skills for technical assistance and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to coordinate resources and people to meet objectives without direct supervisory authority.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
