Analyze network traffic and firewall logs to identify security anomalies and operational trends.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze firewall logs, network traffic, and security events to identify anomalies, trends, and potential risks.
• Interpret patterns related to routing, NAT, ACLs, and firewall rule behavior using network engineering knowledge.
• Investigate spikes in blocked traffic, unusual outbound connections, and repeated failed attempts.
• Clean, normalize, and transform large volumes of log data from multiple sources.
• Build dashboards and automated reports to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of total experience, including 3+ years as a Network Engineer.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, NAT, routing, ports, and protocols.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting (Python preferred) for data extraction and automation.
• Hands-on experience analyzing firewall logs and network traffic.
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, Sentinel, or Elastic.
• Ability to interpret large datasets and identify anomalies or trends.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with QRadar or other SIEM platforms.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical findings into business insights.
