You will support the Trust & Safety data science team by analyzing customer onboarding, transactions, and payment strategies to mitigate fraud.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Identify, monitor, and mitigate fraud activity through high-precision prevention controls.
• Process, clean, and visualize data from complex databases to build reporting solutions.
• Design experimentation frameworks, including decision trees and A/B tests, to improve fraud capture rates.
• Perform root cause analysis, resolve production data issues, and execute data validation via test plans and scripts.
• Tune SQL queries, reports, and ETL pipelines while maintaining data dictionaries and documentation.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in data analytics or strategy analytics.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex data manipulation.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience developing BI applications using Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Experience with MPP databases such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• Experience with ETL tools including Informatica, Pentaho, or SSIS.
• Strong technical and business communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotations.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in developing LookML.
• Knowledge of financial markets, banking, or exchanges.
• Experience working in small firms or startup technology environments.
