Description

You will lead the migration of legacy data platforms to AWS Redshift, acting as the onshore technical liaison for BI initiatives.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of legacy logic and queries from Teradata/Hadoop to AWS Redshift.
• Translate business requirements into technical design documents and actionable data solutions.
• Analyze, redesign, and optimize complex SQL queries for scalable and maintainable performance.
• Coordinate project execution between onshore business stakeholders and offshore technical teams.
• Manage sprint execution within an Agile framework and mentor offshore team members.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data analysis, SQL development, and data platform projects.
• Expert-level SQL skills for writing and optimizing complex queries.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift, specifically for SQL migration and performance tuning.
• Proven experience leading BI or data migration projects (e.g., Teradata/Hadoop to Redshift).
• Proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau or SAP BusinessObjects.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and modern data architectures.
• Experience acting as an onshore technical lead or coordinator for large-scale initiatives.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to AWS Glue, S3, and Athena.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD for data workflows.
• Understanding of the Insurance (P&C) domain.
