You will design and maintain secure, scalable database architectures and cloud-native data systems in Albany, NY.

Responsibilities

• Architect secure databases using encryption, decryption algorithms, and security APIs.
• Design cloud-native database structures incorporating containerization, serverless, and microservices architectures.
• Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code, including triggers, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Manage application deployment and oversee database monitoring and maintenance systems.
• Implement data security across transport and message layers.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in database and schema architecture.
• Extensive experience with SQL coding, testing, and debugging.
• Advanced PL/SQL skills including normalization and database optimization.
• 4+ years of experience with cloud or hybrid infrastructure, specifically AWS or GCP.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud-native design (API-first, microservices, and containerization).
• 4+ years of experience in database application development and monitoring.
• Deep understanding of data security, including transport and message layer security.
• Proven ability to manage database maintenance and performance tuning.
