Roles and Responsibilities:

• Own the design and evolution of canonical, source-agnostic entities and relationships for payroll and related business domains.
• Design configuration-driven mapping and extension patterns that support new source systems, clients, and field variations without schema forks or one-off code.
• Define reconciliation, validation, and data-quality controls that verify canonical outputs against source-system totals and production ground truth.
• Review production implementations, code, and configuration to ensure engineering abstractions remain aligned with the approved data model.
• Lead modeling reviews, entity design walkthroughs, architecture decisions, and onboarding assessments for new clients and source-system integrations.

Skills Required:

• 8 - 10 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or related engineering roles, including ownership of canonical or common data models.
• Strong experience with canonical and dimensional data modeling, including stable entities and relationships across changing source systems.
• Demonstrated ownership of a common or canonical data model spanning multiple clients, vendors, or source systems.
• Experience designing configuration-driven architecture and mapping rules rather than hardcoded integrations or client-specific schema exceptions.
• Ability to validate production data against source-system ground truth and establish reconciliation and data-quality controls.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Python and SQL for reviewing and validating production data and modeling implementations.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
