Description

You own the end-to-end architecture for Reuters data systems, covering modeling, organization, and transformation strategies.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Drive enhancements to the Thomson Reuters Data Platform and ingestion capabilities for Reuters-specific use cases.
• Ensure data governance practices align with the Reuters Data Governance team and the Thomson Reuters Data Governance Group.
• Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to Reuters Data Engineering teams.
• Design and implement reusable frameworks and proofs-of-concept for data pipelines and transformation layers.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a lead design or architectural role.
• Deep expertise in data modeling: relational, dimensional, NoSQL, and Data Vault.
• Proven experience with cloud-native data platforms, specifically AWS and Snowflake.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Java for data manipulation and automation.
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Experience partnering with business and product teams to define roadmaps and gather requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Reuters-specific data ecosystems.
