Description

You will design data warehouses and define how data is collected and organized to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement long-term technology strategies for analytics, data engineering, and data platforms.
• Develop conceptual, physical, and logical data models, including dimensional and 3NF non-dimensional modeling.
• Create standards, design patterns, and best practices for ETL development in enterprise data warehouse environments.
• Lead architectural design discussions and coordinate with Solutions Architects to define workflows.
• Perform current state data model assessments, gap analysis, and target state architecture planning for Data Lake and Data Lakehouse environments.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of technology delivery experience, with at least 3 years focused on database system architecture and design.
• Expert-level knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning and data query optimization.
• Proficiency in REST, API, and SOAP API implementations.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database, Oracle databases, and Cloud data warehouse technologies like Azure Data Warehouse, Amazon Redshift, or Snowflake.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages including Bash, PowerShell, Google Script, C#, and Python.
• Experience with BI tools and ETL processes, specifically MS SSIS and Ab Initio.
• Proven ability to perform extensive data profiling and implement data quality standards.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture and design.
