Description

Own the design, development, and optimization of Ab Initio ETL pipelines and data flows.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Ab Initio ETL graphs to meet project requirements.
• Handle production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide fixes.
• Optimize existing Ab Initio graphs through performance tuning.
• Drive research and enhancement stories from inception to closure.
• Participate in client interactions and daily status discussions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio ETL development.
• Deep knowledge of Ab Initio components: Join, Dedup, Sort, Reformat, Rollup, Merge, Gather, Filter by Expression.
• Understanding of Ab Initio parallelism concepts, graphs, and plans.
• Ability to debug and analyze code and data issues in Ab Initio graphs.
• Working knowledge of SQL (basic to intermediate level).

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux commands and scripting.
• Exposure to deployment and promotion processes (e.g., Jenkins-based promotions).
• Understanding of join types, SCD concepts, null keys, and transformations.
