Description

Design and maintain the Canonical Data Model (CDM) for enterprise security baselines, ensuring asset-agnostic structure and metadata standards.

Responsibilities

• Define entities, attributes, relationships, and metadata standards for the CDM.
• Map baseline parameters from Excel, Word, and JSON sources to the canonical model.
• Integrate CIS Benchmark structures to create draft and reference security baselines.
• Partner with engineers to optimize MongoDB document design, nesting, and indexing.
• Define logical lineage, business definitions, and governance metadata for data standardization.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise data modeling.
• Strong understanding of Canonical Data Models (CDM).
• Experience with cybersecurity baseline concepts and CIS Benchmarks.
• Proficiency in document and semi-structured data modeling (JSON, hierarchical models).
• Knowledge of MongoDB data modeling best practices.
• Experience with metadata management and data governance.
• Ability to parse and map structured data from Excel and Word.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with security data domains and asset classification frameworks.
• Experience mapping complex structured data sources to enterprise models.
