Description

Lead database engineering projects and serve as the technical decision maker for critical incidents, ensuring the availability, scalability, and performance of database systems across private and public cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce database standards and operational procedures across Build, App, and Ops DBA teams.
• Develop and implement data replication, resilience, disaster recovery, and cloud strategies.
• Drive distributed caching strategies and participate in capacity planning for cloud environments.
• Assess and recommend database technologies while contributing to the Architecture Review Board.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders to coordinate database partnerships.

Required Skills

• 20+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA with deep knowledge of inner workings.
• 6+ years of experience working with Azure or AWS.
• Proven experience administering both SQL Server and MongoDB.
• Deep understanding of both relational and non-relational database architectures.
• Experience managing or providing technical direction to App DBAs, Ops DBAs, and SQL Developers.
• Ability to manage database capacity needs and budgeting for cloud hosting.
• Experience with production database operational telemetry and performance data.
