Description

Lead the assessment and migration of Greenplum database environments to target cloud platforms. You will translate business requirements into architectural design principles and execute large-scale data migration programs.

Responsibilities

• Assess current Greenplum and operational data store environments to identify performance bottlenecks and scalability issues.
• Design data mapping and transformation strategies to migrate data from legacy Greenplum environments to new data models.
• Optimize query performance, data loading, and retrieval processes in large-scale environments.
• Document migration strategies, architecture, data mapping, and transformation processes.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams including DBAs and data engineers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture or similar roles.
• Proven experience with Greenplum and Snowflake technologies.
• Hands-on expertise in data modeling and ETL processes.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation.
• Deep understanding of relational database concepts and data warehousing principles.
• History of executing at least 1-2 large-scale data migration and assessment programs.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with project management and leading cross-functional teams.
