Description

You will design and govern the enterprise-wide data architecture for a sustainability initiative focused on product-level carbon footprint measurement and ESG compliance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end data architecture for the sustainability analytics program to ensure ESG compliance.
• Design enterprise data models integrating MBOM from SAP, EBOM from Oracle-based systems, and supplier emissions data.
• Establish data integration patterns, governance, and lineage strategies using Databricks and AWS services.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate carbon accounting logic into reusable data products.
• Optimize the data lakehouse architecture to support large-scale, performant data processing.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture.
• Deep expertise in Databricks, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Lakehouse architecture.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, and Lambda.
• Extensive experience with SAP ECC/S/4HANA BOM structures and integration patterns.
• Knowledge of Oracle-based EBOM systems and PLM data models.
• Expertise in data modeling, including dimensional, normalized, and semantic models.
• Familiarity with ESG/sustainability data, carbon accounting concepts, and supply chain data structures.
• Experience ensuring data quality and compliance with ESG reporting standards like GHG Protocol or CSRD.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in sustainability data architecture or ESG analytics.
• Knowledge of carbon emission calculation methods or product lifecycle analysis (LCA).
