Description

You will design and implement scalable cloud-native architectures that integrate healthcare and PBM data to support Medicare drug pricing, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data models, data lakes, and data marts supporting Medicare Part D, Medicaid rebates, and STAR ratings.
• Build data governance frameworks including metadata management to ensure traceability, auditability, and HIPAA compliance.
• Translate CMS and HHS mandates into technical data standards and actionable solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Analytics, and DevOps teams to define Critical Data Elements and align technical requirements.
• Develop strategies for data security, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and long-term archiving.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to the data engineering team.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, including 5+ years in the healthcare or PBM industry.
• 5+ years of combined experience with Snowflake, AWS, and Matillion.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data engineering and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, SNS, and CloudWatch.
• Expertise in data modeling using dbt or ERwin.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare data standards including HL7, FHIR, NCPDP, and EDI (834, 835, 837, 820).
• Experience with PBM data structures such as claims, formulary, eligibility, and rebate contracts.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks including HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, and GDPR.
• Experience implementing data governance and metadata management using tools like Collibra.

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing real-time data streaming solutions using Kafka or Kinesis.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
