Lead the implementation of a data governance program for a new Medicaid data lake consolidating claims, eligibility, and provider data.
Responsibilities
- Lead data lake implementation by integrating diverse data sources while maintaining quality and integrity.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices for security and regulatory compliance.
- Design the data lake for full interoperability with existing and future systems to facilitate seamless data exchange.
- Validate data sources and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy and adherence to governance standards.
- Conduct data literacy campaigns to educate users on data availability and potential use cases.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect, preferably within healthcare payer projects.
- 3+ years of experience working with Medicaid programs, focusing on organizational data strategy and data quality.
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- 1+ year of experience with data modeling, data warehousing, data mining, and managing data pipelines and workflows.
- 3+ years of experience managing workloads to meet critical IT project timelines and deadlines.
- 1+ year of experience communicating, presenting, and teaching technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
Preferred Skills
- 3+ years of experience with Healthcare IT projects and healthcare data.
- 3+ years of experience developing reports using R Project for Statistical Computing or Microsoft Power BI.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
