• We are seeking an expert Data Architect for a contract role based in Lake Forest, IL (onsite once every 2 months) to design a scalable "Single Source of Truth" platform. With 10+ years of CPG/Retail experience, you will lead the architecture of an enterprise-wide Canonical Data Model, integrating major retailer feeds like Walmart Luminate, Target RBD, Kroger Stratum, and Sam's Club MAP.
• Academically and practically fluent in enterprise data architectures (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Star Schema, Data Vault 2.0), you will define robust data ingestion patterns across APIs, EDI, and SFTP.
• The ideal candidate will utilize Azure-preferred cloud platforms (Data Factory, Databricks, Fabric, Synapse) to architect ETL/ELT pipelines and semantic structures supporting Power BI and Tableau.
• Ultimately, you will leverage deep expertise in key retail metrics (OTIF, Weeks of Supply, POS, Sell-Through), Data Governance/MDM (using Purview, Collibra, or Alation), and AI/ML enablement to translate complex retail business problems into high-performing technology solutions
