Design and execute the architectural vision for complex IT systems and enterprise blueprints.

On-site work in Mississauga, ON.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business problems into sound technical solutions and system designs.
• Develop technology roadmaps and research emerging technologies to recommend business directions.
• Apply software design theories to develop product hardware and software interfaces.
• Manage risk and ensure architectural decisions drive compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Required Skills

• 6-10 years of experience in Big Data and/or Public Cloud.
• 8 years of experience with Big Data technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark, and Impala.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and Spark.
• Experience with AWS and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Proven ability to design cloud-native solutions and migrate on-prem applications to Cloud architectures.
• Technical expertise within the financial services industry or regulatory environments.
• Ability to perform R&D across multiple technology stacks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure or GCP.
