Description

You will design and execute database migration strategies for diverse client infrastructures. You partner with sales teams to assess technical challenges and develop tailored migration plans based on database types and volumes. You lead technical presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concepts to demonstrate solutions. You create comprehensive technical documentation, migration plans, and project proposals. You collaborate with product and engineering teams to align solutions with roadmaps. You manage cloud migration projects, including planning, engineer guidance, and onboarding.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in database migrations, solution architecture, or data management consulting.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience leading cloud migration projects and designing project plans.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency with cloud data services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Google Cloud SQL.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing like AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Google BigQuery.
• Experience with big data services such as AWS EMR, Azure HDInsight, or Google Cloud Dataproc.
• Ability to implement monitoring, troubleshooting, and post-migration validation to ensure data integrity.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and cost optimization strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience optimizing migration performance using parallel processing and data compression.
• Knowledge of object and block storage optimization for different data types.
