You will design and execute database migration strategies for diverse client infrastructures, partnering with sales teams to assess technical challenges and develop tailored plans.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute database migration strategies for diverse client environments.
• Partner with sales teams to assess infrastructure, requirements, and technical challenges.
• Lead technical presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concepts for migration solutions.
• Create technical documentation, migration plans, and detailed project proposals.
• Manage cloud migration projects, including planning and engineer guidance.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in database migrations, solution architecture, or data management consulting.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience leading cloud migration projects and designing project plans.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency with cloud data services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Google Cloud SQL.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing like AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Google BigQuery.
• Experience with big data services such as AWS EMR, Azure HDInsight, or Google Cloud Dataproc.
• Ability to implement monitoring, troubleshooting, and post-migration validation to ensure data integrity.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and cost optimization strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience optimizing migration performance using parallel processing and data compression.
• Knowledge of object and block storage optimization for different data types.
