Description

Lead enterprise data transformations by migrating legacy SAS systems to Databricks on Microsoft Azure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud-native data platforms using Azure components including ADF, ADLS, Azure SQL, and Synapse.
• Design and build scalable data pipelines using PySpark, Delta Lake, Spark, and SQL for analytics modernization.
• Champion data governance by managing quality, lineage, lifecycle, and security standards.
• Support pre-sales activities, including solution design and technical estimation.
• Mentor engineering teams and guide best practices across BI and analytics functions.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience in data architecture.
• Strong proficiency with Databricks, Microsoft Azure, SQL, and Synapse.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark, Delta Lake, and Spark.
• Demonstrated domain experience in BFSI and Manufacturing industries.
• Experience designing and implementing complex data pipelines.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms including AWS and GCP.
• Ability to collaborate with BI teams using Power BI and Tableau.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating from SAS to modern cloud data platforms.
• Knowledge of Snowflake or similar data warehousing solutions.
