Description

Define and implement scalable data architecture for AWS cloud modernization programs, focusing on Databricks and lakehouse patterns.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define target data architecture, including ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption layers for lakehouse platforms.
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant solutions on AWS, ensuring high throughput, low latency, and horizontal scalability.
• Establish data integration patterns, architecture standards, and governance frameworks for security and compliance.
• Lead POCs and architectural validations, guiding engineering teams on best practices and platform optimization.
• Define cutover strategies for zero-downtime migration, including dual-run approaches and rollback mechanisms.

Required Skills

• 12+ years in data architecture with at least 2 projects involving AWS Databricks.
• Strong experience in large-scale cloud data modernization and transformation programs.
• Proficiency in AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Athena, SQS, Event Bridge, SNS, and EKS.
• Deep expertise in Databricks, specifically Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
• Strong background in data modeling for both data warehouses and lakehouses.
• Experience in integration architecture and data governance frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solution design.
