Description

You will design and manage the data architecture and strategy for transitioning from legacy MS SQL Server 2012 to modern cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design data entity diagrams and maintain a complete inventory of database tables, procedures, and architecture artifacts.
• Formulate organizational data strategy, including data quality standards, security protocols, and application data flows.
• Execute data migrations from legacy systems to new solutions by writing migration scripts for multiple databases.
• Manage administration, configuration, security, and backup processes for the new platform.
• Optimize system performance through regular testing, troubleshooting, and tuning of the new architecture.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture or database administration.
• Strong expertise in MS SQL Server and SQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Microsoft SQL databases.
• Proven ability in database design, data integration, aggregation, and metadata management.
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning and database optimization.
• Knowledge of database security administration and backup configuration.
• Experience working within Agile principles.
