Description

Design and build scalable data platforms using Azure services, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Architect data lake and lakehouse solutions using Azure Synapse, Databricks, and ADLS Gen2.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure Data Factory and PySpark for batch and streaming data.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance frameworks for HIPAA/PHI data.
• Define data models including dimensional, SCD, and historized structures.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps.

Required Skills

• 10–15+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience.
• Strong Azure-first cloud experience (architecture, implementation, operations).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Experience with Azure services: ADF, Synapse, SQL Server, Key Vault, and DevOps.
• Knowledge of Healthcare Payer/Medicaid domains (Claims, Member, Provider data).
• Understanding of AI-assisted development and agentic workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CDC and incremental data processing.
• Knowledge of Data Lake architectures and schema evolution.
• Understanding of AI-assisted SDLC, security, and traceability.
