Description

You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of data collection, transformation, storage, governance, and consumption.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage and define processes for external and internal data integrations.
• Lead the architecture of self-service data access capabilities and smart APIs.
• Collaborate with software engineers and DevOps teams to ensure APIs, data models, connectors, and microservices are performant.
• Drive cost optimization efforts to maintain low data warehouse and virtual warehouse costs.
• Improve data quality and validation layers to support BI solutions.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in data architecture and enterprise solutions.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services including EMR, Athena, Glue, RDS, Redshift, SQS, and SNS.
• Deep expertise in Data Lake and Data Warehouse environments using Snowflake and Databricks.
• Proficiency with Spark, Scala, and Apache Airflow.
• Strong understanding of Kafka fundamentals and Kafka streams for near real-time reporting.
• Experience leading solutions involving Machine Learning, Data Engineering, and data governance.
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience implementing data strategies that align with business objectives.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing and implementing virtual warehouses for new and existing use cases.
