Description

You will design scalable data architectures and translate business requirements into technical specifications for the data ecosystem.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement fit-for-purpose data solutions on AWS cloud platforms.
• Develop and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines using PySpark.
• Define data architecture frameworks, metadata models, and governance standards.
• Guide future updates and enhancements to the data ecosystem and operationalize analytics initiatives.
• Apply software engineering and DevOps principles to improve data flow automation and integration.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data management, integration, and solutions architecture.
• Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services for data architecture.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling, SQL, and relational/non-relational database theory.
• Understanding of business intelligence, data engineering, and data governance processes.
• Ability to work across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid deployment environments.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data management, mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience leading principal-level data architecture projects and mentoring staff.
