Data Architect

You will architect and manage data solutions for the Virginia Permitting Transparency (VPT) project.

Responsibilities

• Build and edit Azure Data Factory pipelines to manage complex data flows.
• Architect and model mission-critical RDBMS, BI, OLTP, and OLAP solutions.
• Perform data research, profiling, and analysis to resolve file issues.
• Collaborate with application development teams to provide system enhancements and support.
• Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive reporting strategies and analytic solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle 12c or greater.
• 5+ years of experience in a dedicated data architecture role.
• 5+ years of experience building data flows using ETL tools.
• Proven expertise with Azure Data Factory.
• Extensive experience in Data Analysis, Data Profiling, Data Flows, and Data Modeling.
• Proficient in profiling and loading data from RDBMS, OLAP cubes, mainframe file systems, web services, APIs, XML, and text files.
• Required proficiency in Azure Power BI.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical material to both business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Power Automate, Microsoft SQL Server, or Azure Dataverse.
