Description

Design and implement enterprise-scale data architectures using Snowflake and Medallion patterns. Own the full lifecycle of data modeling, migration, and pipeline reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design canonical logical and physical data models, including 3NF and Star schema architectures.
• Lead end-to-end data migration projects and implement scalable Snowflake data models.
• Build processes for data transformation, metadata management, and workload orchestration.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for data flows, architectures, and data dictionaries.
• Troubleshoot complex data pipeline issues across infrastructure, platform, and application domains.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years focused on strong data modelling.
• Expertise in Snowflake data warehousing, including ELT using Snowflake SQL and complex stored procedures.
• Proficiency in SQL (PL/SQL), Oracle database, and Unix Shell Scripting.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica.
• Experience with CDC tools like Oracle GoldenGate or Qlik.
• Deep understanding of data security, RBAC controls, and data access design.
• Proven ability to analyze source data, create mapping documents, and design data structures.
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting in complex database environments.

Preferred Skills

• SnowPro certification and experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, and SnowPipe.
• Programming proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with Big Data model techniques and Snowflake advanced features like Zero Copy Clone and Time Travel.
