Description

Design and implement scalable data architectures and evolutionary solutions for core data assets.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Transform core data assets by leveraging SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based platforms.
• Define high-level migration plans to bridge gaps between current and future state architectures.
• Build data systems, pipelines, and collection systems to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
• Lead technology environment analysis to detect deficiencies and recommend architectural improvements.
• Promote the reuse of data assets and manage the data catalog for reference.

Required Skills

• Extensive knowledge of data principles, patterns, processes, and practices.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with the Azure Data Platform stack, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Databricks.
• Experience with SQL database design, data modeling, and NoSQL applications on Big Data Platforms.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, data management, analytics development, and data integration.
• Experience with APIs, cloud infrastructure, servers, and storage.
• Understanding of network and data security architecture.
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, or EventHub.
• Strong analytical skills for collecting, organizing, and interpreting complex data using statistical techniques.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with operational data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence solutions.
• Data engineering certification, such as IBM Certified Data Engineer.
