You will expand and optimize data and pipeline architecture for economic policy and research teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data processes and source data to identify dependencies, anomalies, and business rules impacting data management.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data to analytics platforms with high integrity.
• Architect and implement ETL/ELT workflows using modern tools to support large-scale data processing for economic analysis.
• Define specifications for database structures, including logical and physical data models, backup procedures, and security controls.
• Collaborate with research teams to improve data models and processes, increasing data accessibility for analytics and visualization tools.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related technical field (advanced degree preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or data modeling.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and other scripting languages for data engineering and analytics.
• Experience designing, developing, and automating ETL/ELT workflows and data integration pipelines.
• Experience with large-scale data systems, including distributed computing and scalable data processing.
• Knowledge of Javascript, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, Perl, and Github.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data warehousing solutions.
• Ability to redesign infrastructure for improved scalability and performance.
