Description

Define and implement the target-state architecture for Microsoft Fabric, establishing standards and leading end-to-end platform rollout.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design Microsoft Fabric architecture, including capacity planning, workspace structure, OneLake organization, and environment strategy.
• Establish architectural standards, reference patterns, and reusable components to ensure consistent scaling.
• Design integration approaches between Fabric and source systems such as JD Edwards, Azure SQL, and third-party data sources.
• Lead end-to-end implementation, from tenant setup to production rollout, delivering pipelines, lakehouses, and semantic models.
• Ensure the platform supports AI workloads, including data provisioning for Azure OpenAI and vector-ready data preparation.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data platform, data engineering, or analytics architecture roles.
• At least 3 years in a lead or architect capacity.
• Deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with Python or PySpark for data engineering tasks.
• Proven track record of leading enterprise data platform implementations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, and enterprise security.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing or integrating AI/ML workflows within a data platform.
• Familiarity with medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold) and semantic models.
