Description

Design and govern enterprise-scale Microsoft Fabric and Azure data platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable workspace, capacity, and OneLake strategies using domain-aligned structures and environment separation.
• Define Medallion architecture, dimensional modeling, and semantic model standards for reuse and governance.
• Implement security and identity patterns including Entra ID RBAC, RLS/OLS, and sensitivity labeling.
• Establish DevOps frameworks with CI/CD, Git workflows, and automation using PowerShell or Python.
• Drive operational readiness by defining monitoring, cost optimization, and performance tuning strategies.

Required Skills

• 8–12+ years in Data Architecture, Analytics Platforms, or Cloud Data Engineering.
• 2–4+ years specifically in the Microsoft analytics ecosystem (Fabric, Power BI, Synapse, Azure Data).
• Proven experience designing platforms for large enterprises (multi-team, multi-domain, 1k+ users).
• Strong knowledge of Delta table structures, partitioning, schema evolution, and lifecycle conventions.
• Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, group-based RBAC, and least privilege security patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and release/promotion strategies.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Python for scripting and automation tasks.
• Understanding of REST APIs for integration and automation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Data Lineage capture and metadata management conventions.
• Background in coaching delivery teams on best practices and technical governance.
