Data Architecture

What you will be doing:

You will perform a crucial role within the data warehouse and data management system to create and maintain a strategic relationship between the business partners and the IT development team. You'll become a subject matter expert on several domains related to Verizon products and services. As a member of the E&I team, the DSA will work closely within a cross functional IT and business team to build, design and organize complex data product solution design with maximized usability and well-integrated data classification and governance rules.

As a Data Solution Analyst you will need to define the end use of the database/data product solution, drive and align with the blueprint for DSA scopes in the different phases of Release lifecycle and design handovers maintaining the data design documentation, functional test cases, data lineage, and other Data catalog related artifacts for all the data product solution related assets.

• Attending project understanding/grooming calls.
• Understanding business requirements abstract.
• Understanding, analyzing and assessing business values, high level design impacts and level of effort.
• Adhering and providing thought leadership to design documentation standards and best practices.
• Analyzing the technology environment.
• Analyzing and finding enterprise specific problem statements and data solutions.
• Setting collaboration framework.
• Creating solution prototype.
• Research and Explore DWH DBs to answer business critical questions.

What we are looking for:

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree and four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in ETL designs.
• Experience with Unix shell scripting, SQl, HQL.
• Experience with Teradata or more years of experience in big data space on technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, Teradata, Informatica, etc.
• Knowledge on AWS, GCP cloud architecture.
• Knowledge on containerized application/Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience managing a large data ecosystem.
• Experience in Stakeholder Management.
• Experience with cross-team collaboration.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Telecom domain.
• Designed data model/data product that fosters reuse and sharing of Reusable assets.
• Experience presenting to functional leaders and stakeholders.
• Experience of working on big data projects based on cloud data platforms.
• Experience in building complex SQLs to do extensive Exploratory Data analysis to understand and design data solutions.
• Experience in creating enterprise Data models using Erwin tool.
• Experience in Teradata, BigData and GCP platforms.
• Experience in BTeq Scripts, BigQuery, HQL.
• Experience in reverse engineering and building complex ETL designs in Informatica, Abinitio tools.
• Experience in Python to do data manipulation and analysis(Pandas ,Numpy).
• Experience in Unix shell scripting, AWK programming to explore raw data in UNIX platforms.
• Experience in big data space on technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka etc.
• Knowledge on containerized application/Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience managing a large data ecosystem
