Description

Design and build data structures from ingestion through to visualization.

Responsibilities

• Architect and code data structures using Snowflake, dbt, and modern BI tools.
• Implement platform best practices to ensure maintainability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Design and maintain data security access controls and optimal data modeling for nonuniform datasets.
• Develop SQL, HTML, and JavaScript code to optimize the stack or generate visualization views.
• Mentor junior data developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver stakeholder requirements.

Required Skills

• 10-12 years of experience in Data Engineering development and visualization.
• 6-8 years of Data Warehouse experience, ideally with Snowflake.
• 6-8 years of SQL experience, preferably Snowflake SQL.
• 2-4 years of dbt experience.
• 3-5 years of experience with Github and source code control.
• 3-5 years of experience with LookML, Tableau, or modern BI tools.
• 2-3 years of experience with CI/CD tools for the modern data stack.
• 2+ years of Python development.
• Experience with enterprise systems including Salesforce, Oracle, Oracle BI, Workday, Jira, Adaptive, and Anaplan.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with semantic layers.
• HTML and JavaScript experience specifically related to Looker.
