Description

Lead the design, deployment, and operation of data catalog platforms within the existing data operations stack.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the deployment and ongoing operations of data catalog platforms, specifically Alation.
• Bridge data engineering and DevOps to ensure scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure.
• Administer applications on EC2 instances and manage metadata management functions.
• Collaborate with data architects, platform engineers, and governance teams.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• 5+ years experience with Linux operating system.
• 4+ years experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Glue, Athena, IAM, networking).
• 3+ years experience coding in Python.
• Experience administering applications on EC2 instances, such as Alation Data Catalog.
• Knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, or IaC tools.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum environments.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Skills

• Security+ Certification.
