Description

Provide onsite network support and hardware maintenance within a data center environment. Own the physical and logical troubleshooting of network infrastructure to minimize production impact.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical replacement of optics, line cards, supervisor cards, and chassis hardware.
• Troubleshoot network link, device, and configuration issues to isolate and resolve problems.
• Trace and isolate cables through patch panels and perform fiber optic cleaning and testing.
• Manage RMA requests with OEM vendors and track defective or replacement part inventory.
• Collaborate with facilities, cabling, and server teams to resolve incidents and deploy projects.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data center or network hardware environments.
• Hands-on experience with Juniper Enterprise, Cisco, and Service Provider hardware.
• Proficiency with JUNOS and Cisco IOS configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux OS, CLI navigation, and bash scripting.
• Ability to physically troubleshoot routers, switches, console servers, and optical transport equipment.
• Experience with routing and switching technologies and protocols.
• Capability to perform physical audits and maintain asset inventory databases.
• Availability for on-call support after business hours and travel to various sites as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for significant periods.
