Description

You will manage physical infrastructure and hardware lifecycle tasks within a mission-critical data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute hardware rack and stack, OS installations, and layer 1 network provisioning for new builds.
• Monitor data center resources and implement automated alerting for hardware, OS, and network issues.
• Manage hot spares for production hosts and services while maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Track rack-level space and power utilization, capturing data in a centralized location.
• Perform daily inspections and coordinate with vendors for cabling and rack requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a complex, mission-critical data center environment.
• Experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and parts replacement.
• Administrative skills managing Windows and Linux systems.
• Intermediate knowledge of networking concepts, topology, and protocols.
• Working knowledge of SNMP, rPDUs, UPS systems, and client systems.
• Experience designing data center layouts and managing deployment at scale.
• Ability to create and maintain setup diagrams, system hand-over, and inventory documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Availability for off-hour and weekend maintenance activities.
