Description

You will manage physical hardware operations and network troubleshooting within a data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical hardware swaps including fabric, backbone, line cards, and TOR replacements.
• Execute optical transceiver swaps and conduct circuit diagnosis.
• Isolate and identify root causes by reviewing hardware logs.
• Manage RMAs by working directly with vendors.
• Mentor and guide L1 resources.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of IT-related experience.
• Proficiency with Linux-based systems.
• Scripting and automation experience using Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Knowledge of BGP, VRRP, LACP, and spanning tree protocols.
• Strong understanding of the OSI layer and IP-based networking.
• Experience with physical layer maintenance, including fiber optic connections and cleaning.
• Familiarity with text-based CLI.
• Understanding of ESD best practices and data center safety management.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds with assistance.
• Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Preferred Skills

• A+ or Network+ level of knowledge.
