Description

Maintain and repair compute and storage infrastructure within an enterprise data center in Foster City, CA.

You will own the installation, deployment, and troubleshooting of rack equipment, including fiber and cabling, while managing vendor RMAs and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair CPU and GPU-based compute clusters and storage systems.
• Install, deploy, and integrate new rack equipment, including running cabling and fiber.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex hardware issues independently.
• Manage vendor RMAs, installation activities, and maintenance coordination.
• Handle procurement, logistics, and technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience installing and maintaining enterprise compute hardware.
• Hands-on experience with hardware installation and cable assemblies.
• Proficiency running fiber and cabling in data center environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair server hardware with minimal supervision.
• Experience with ticket management processes and production checklists.
• Familiarity with DCIM tools such as Device42.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs to waist height and 25 lbs to shoulder height.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of RAID, IPv4, IPMI/OOB, and basic Linux system administration.
• Exposure to Super Micro servers, Arista or Mellanox network equipment, and GPU computing platforms.
