Description

Manage physical infrastructure and hardware lifecycle operations within a mission-critical data center.

Responsibilities

• Execute hardware rack and stack, OS installations, and component replacements for new builds.
• Provision Layer 1 network connections and perform connectivity testing for first-hop access.
• Monitor data center resources, implement automated alerting, and manage hot spares for production hosts.
• Perform intermediate remote hands troubleshooting for hardware, OS, and network issues.
• Maintain detailed documentation for setup diagrams, system hand-overs, and inventory management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in complex, mission-critical data center environments.
• Hands-on experience with SNMP, rPDUs, and UPS systems.
• Administrative experience managing Linux and Windows systems.
• Working knowledge of large-scale data center, network, and compute deployments.
• Intermediate knowledge of networking concepts, topologies, and protocols.
• Proven ability to manage hardware installation, troubleshooting, and parts replacement.
• Experience working with vendors for cabling and rack requirements.
• Ability to participate in off-hour and weekend maintenance activities.
