Description

You will manage the physical installation, configuration, and maintenance of data center hardware and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Rack, stack, and secure servers, network devices, and hardware within cabinets.
• Perform structured cabling using Ethernet, fiber optics, and power cables with strict attention to management and labeling.
• Execute initial power-on and connectivity testing for new devices.
• Diagnose hardware issues and collaborate with Network and Systems teams for advanced troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory, configuration records, and installation documentation.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in a data center or IT infrastructure environment.
• Hands-on experience with structured cabling (Ethernet and fiber optic).
• Working knowledge of server hardware, networking, and data center equipment.
• Proficiency with tools including power drills, cable testers, and screwdrivers.
• Ability to lift and handle equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Capacity to work in confined spaces and elevated areas.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications.
• Data Center Technician (DCT) Certification.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
