Description

You manage hardware installation, cabling, and operating system stability within a large-scale data center environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware-level maintenance, investigation, and repair of servers, network components, and data cabling.
• Detect, investigate, and resolve operating system issues affecting production equipment availability.
• Manage equipment installation, cable planning, and physical asset documentation.
• Monitor, assess, and escalate infrastructure issues to maintain reliability and resilience.
• Conduct activity impact and risk assessments to support data center stability.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in technical environments.
• Unix/Linux proficiency sufficient to interrogate system hardware, review logs, and manipulate files.
• Working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, lifting, and climbing ladders.
• Strong communication skills for providing concise technical updates to engineering teams.
• Ability to prioritize concurrent data center services and active projects.

Preferred Skills

• CCNA certification.
• Hands-on experience replacing server and network hardware.
• Familiarity with Grafana, Splunk, or programming/scripting.
