Description

You will lead physical infrastructure support and hardware troubleshooting within the data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform break-fix tasks including hardware inspection, component replacement, and cable or modular equipment re-seating.
• Manage physical deployment through racking, stacking, cabling (fiber, copper, power), and cable management.
• Execute circuit migrations, planned maintenance, and provisioning of optics such as SFPs and GBICs.
• Conduct hardware troubleshooting, light level testing, and loop-back circuit testing.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through labeling, serial number recording, and digital documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a network administrator or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with networking, routing, and switching.
• Deep knowledge of data center operations and fiber optic management.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, servers, storage devices, and routers.
• Ability to set up and configure server hardware.
• Experience with physical cabling, PDU installation, and rack/stack procedures.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery methodologies.
• CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE certification.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with firewalls and remote Internet VPN implementation.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
