Description

Manage critical facility operations and technical teams in a data center environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage shift technicians, senior technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to established procedures.
• Operate and manage routine and emergency services for critical systems including switchgear, generators, UPS, power distribution, chillers, cooling towers, and CRAC units.
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on facility operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate with IT managers to manage capacity, optimize plant safety, and improve facility reliability and efficiency.
• Own asset and inventory management and assist in the design or build-out of new facilities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations.
• Hands-on experience managing critical power systems such as switchgear, generators, and UPS.
• Experience with cooling infrastructure including chillers, cooling towers, and computer room air handlers (CRAH).
• Proficiency in managing building monitoring systems.
• Ability to manage sub-contractors and external vendors on-site.
• Experience with capacity management and plant efficiency optimization.
• Background in asset and inventory management.
