Description

You will manage physical hardware maintenance and troubleshooting within the data center environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform break-fix tasks including visual inspections, component replacement, and re-seating cables or hardware.
• Execute device reboots for routers, servers, and storage equipment.
• Conduct circuit testing using loop-back cables and client-provided test sets.
• Manage power cycles by removing AC or DC power from equipment and dispatch faulty units for repair.
• Maintain hardware cleanliness, including cleaning fibers and swapping storage media.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations.
• Proficiency in computer maintenance and hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with desktop support and hardware component replacement.
• Knowledge of data center power environments (AC/DC).
• Ability to perform physical hardware tasks like cleaning fibers and swapping storage media.
• Basic scripting skills.
• Customer support experience.
